The opportunity to visit аn extensive museum complex. Masterpieces of Russian art of the 11th — early 20th century, temporary exhibitions, educational and cultural programs.
The program of excursion
This is a historical building, which housed the collection of the founder of the Gallery P.M.Tretyakov (since 1856). Here you can see more than 1300 works of Russian art from the 11th till the early 20th century, beginning from pre-Mongolian icons and mosaics and ending with landscape, portrait and historical painting and masterpieces, including works as «Trinity» by Andrei Rublev and «The Apparition of Christ Before the People» by Alexander Ivanov. The works of the great artists V.I.Surikov, V.V.Vereshchagin, I.E.Repin, V.A.Serov and others are represented in different sides.

The ticket office closes an hour before the end of work of the Gallery.

Halls 27, 61 and 62 are temporarily closed due to repair work. We apologize for any inconvenience.

It is possible to move around the expositions in a wheelchair and with children’s prams.

Photo and video shooting
In halls with the permanent exhibition it is allowed to make photos (including mobile devices) without a flash and without using tripods and monopods for selfies.

Professional photo- and video- shooting, shooting with a tripod and sketches in the halls of the Gallery, as well as video and audio recording of different museum tours is possible according to the agreement with the administration.

You can also use images of any objects of the Gallery, received during photo-, film- or video- shooting, for the commercial purposes, but only on the basis of an agreement with the Gallery.
Mobile devices.
Recommended
We ask you to behave carefully toward the museum or exhibition objects and showcases. In order to preserve the exhibits and in order of your safety, please do not touch, lean against museum objects and don’t go beyond the rope fencing.

Oversized items, large backpacks, bags and briefcases, as well as umbrellas can be left in the storage room. Outewear should be left in the cloakroom as well.

In order to keep silence and out of respect for the work of guides, we ask visitors to turn off the sound of mobile phones, and if it is really necessary, use headphones or an audio headset.
